Expert Talk on “Futuristic Technologies for Next Generation Jobs by ICT”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College organized an expert talk for students and members of faculty on 6 th March, 2018. The objective of the program was to familiarize the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to the target audience. Sri. T. Srinivas, CEO, Transynt Technologies, Vijayawada shared his knowledge, expertise and experience with the faculty and students on ICT. At present, ICT plays a vital role in teaching, learning and evaluation process. A total of 120 students from II, III and IV B.Tech Mechanical Engineering and 30 members of faculty participated in the lecture.
Convener Mr. M. Gangaraju, Assistant Professor; Dr. Sadu Venkatesu, Associate Professor, and Mr. S. Bhaskar, Assistant Professor organized the program.
Dr. K.C. Varaprasad, Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering started the program with an inaugural address and focused on the importance of ICT in teaching and learning process. Further, he emphasized that ICT has became more in practice in all the engineering colleges.
During the first session, Sri.Asadi Srinivasulu, Associate Professor, Department of IT shared his rich experience on ICT along with case studies. Further, he emphasized the essential qualities of students and faculty to be incorporated in their day-to-day life and also how to magnify the teaching, learning and soft skills by the usage of ICT tools in the field of academic education.
An eminent personality Sri. Srinivas T, CEO, Transynt Technologies, Vijayawada was the resource person for the second session. He enlightened the students about the Next Generation Technologies and their role in the future Jobs. He interacted with students and faculty on emerging technologies with employability potential being used by the best enterprises.
The expert talks enriched the students and the members of faculty with the ICT developments in academia. The students were enriched with knowledge on latest information communication developments in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Further, students got inspired by the speakers and paved way for better interaction between the department and the resource person.
Sri. Srinivas T also interacted with the Head of the Department and the members of faculty regarding the latest trends in teaching methodologies. The 21st century teaching, he said, should facilitate the students and equip them with the state-of-art of technological trends in teaching, learning and towards the next generation jobs by effective utilization of ICT tools.
